The treason trial of
Rtd. Col. Dr Kizza Besigye and 22 others started on
April 5,2006 at the High Court in Kampala. The state
accused them of belonging to and carrying on overt acts
in the shadowy Peoples Redemption Army Rebel (PRA) group
based in DR Congo.
